Chronos presents: human heart

spanning six centuries of human expression

Join Chronos on a journey through deeply personal texts and music spanning six centuries. This unique program presents songs first recorded by Billy Joel, Coldplay, and more.

This performance will feature Eric Whitacre‘s setting of Hurt by Nine Inch Nails, along with contemporary works by Andrew Balfour, Christopher Harris, and Dorothy Chang; and the startling Hymn of Acxiom by Vienna Teng.

We will also draw on the choral canon with part songs by Gesualdo and Debussy, and Psalm settings by Howells and Mendelssohn.

We hope this program will touch every heart, and is sure to be one to remember.
