Dear Friends and Supporters,

We're taking our show on the road, as the choir undertakes its first tour outside Alberta since 2020, this week!

We are so grateful for the support of our community in Edmonton and our national audience that help us keep bringing Chronos performances to the stage... here in Edmonton, and beyond!

Unbound

Sunday April 26 - 7:30 PM
All Saints' Anglican Cathedral, Edmonton

Vitality, surprise, and the exuberant power of the human voice.

Unbound showcased the evolving and expanding possibilities of contemporary choral sound with music by living composers, including brand new Canadian works, and pieces commissioned and championed by the choir.

The program featured a reprise of Stuart Beatch’s Chosen Family, commissioned by Chronos in 2023 for its 10th Anniversary. On Saturday May 16, the choir will present Chosen Family to a national audience in Victoria BC at Podium 2026!

Also featured was the world premiere of this year's Chronos Composition Competition winner: Tempête by Quebec composer Rémi St-Jacques using text Félix Delage-Laurin. The choir will showcase this new work on its upcoming tour as well.

West Coast Tour and Podium 2026

Podium 2026

Chronos has been invited to perform at Podium 2026 - Choral Canada’s national biennial choral Conference and Festival! This prestigious invitation from Choral Canada is a true honour for the ensemble. Taking place between May 14-17 in Victoria, British Columbia, Podium represents a gathering of choral voices from across Canada. The choir's program will include Chosen Family, commissioned from Stuart Beatch for the choir's 10th Anniversary in 2023-2024.

West Coast Tour

Podium serves as the anchor for Chronos' first tour since 2020 - when Covid disruptions caught the ensemble away from home in the Pacific Northwest. With five performances across four days in concert with the Vancouver Chamber choir and Luminous Voice, this trip through Vancouver and Victoria promises be an exciting and very busy week! Check out the performance details below, and come by to see us if you are nearby!
