Join us in realizing a project for an unprecedented time

Chronos Vocal Ensemble presents its first major project of 2020-21! This exciting project will bring forth a new choral work in two parts composed by Matthew Emery, pairing brand new words by Toronto-based poet Natalie Fasheh with the 700 year-old poetry of Petrarch. The culmination of the project will combine digital and live performance.

We hope you’ll join choir supporter David Almond and Chronos Vocal Ensemble in realizing a concept commissioned in memory of David’s late mother and dedicated to all victims of COVID. This initiative will support the commissioning of the new poetry and music, the production of first a digital release and then a live-streamed performance of the work’s two components, and the creation of a video production of the ultimate realization of this choral work for a new era. View the videos below for an introduction to David and composer Matthew Emery, and our full video interview about this exciting project!

If this project resonates with you, we invite you to join us in making it a reality by contributing through our CanadaHelps page. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to sharing this piece with you soon!
