The Wolf of Lafontaine

presented by Edmonton Symphony Orchestra
Thursday April 25, 7:30 pm
Winspear Centre, Edmonton

We’re just two weeks away from returning to the Winspear as guests of the ESO, in a concert that will feature a reprise of Stuart Beatch’s Chosen Family, commissioned this season from our composer-in-residence and premiered in January.

In a program curated by conductor Alex Prior, also featuring Ballet Edmonton and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, Chronos will present Chosen Family as a “solo” set in the concert.

Setting four deeply personal memorial texts by Victoria-based poet John Barton, this new work was received with great enthusiasm by our audience in January. Portions of the premiere performance have been seen on video by audiences around the world, and premieres are already planned in other parts of Canada this spring.

Buy your tickets online or through the Winspear Box Office at 780.428.1414 – be sure to use coupon code CHRONOSWOLF to support the choir and receive 20% off tickets at Price Levels 1, 2!

This past Sunday we spent a full rehearsal on the Winspear stage, getting into performance-readiness, and enjoying the magnificent acoustic of our city’s flagship music venue. See below for some photos!
