Composition Competition Winner Announced!

Gerda’s entry I Am Not Yours was selected by the jury from a strong field of entries from across Canada. Chronos looks forward to presenting this work to our audiences soon, stay tuned for details!

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. The jury was moved to acknowledge Maria Molinari with an honourable mention for her entry, Solo Di Passaggio.

Our thanks also to the generous donor who has funded the prize since 2017 and to our jurors: Stuart Beatch, Shireen Abu-Khader and Trent Worthington.

Gerda Blok-Wilson is the artistic director of Vancouver Cansing Choirs and Artist-in-Residence at St Patrick’s Regional High School. Her compositions have been performed and recorded by the Vancouver Chamber Choir, Chor Leoni Men’s Choir, Voces Inauditae, and New York’s Composer’s Choir.
